How The Drupal Page on this Site is Created

This is a panel page that uses a number of Drupal features provided both in core and in third-party module

Module List

Drupal at the White House

As widely reported, whitehouse.gov is now running on Drupal. There's an interesting article and video (15 minutes) of discussion with the White House team about their use of Drupal. In response to a question, they replied that most of the site is out-of-the-box Drupal. The major customizations were in the areas of scalability and security. Yes, you, too can have your own version of whitehouse.gov. (Shameless plug: my new Drupal book is all about out-of-the-box Drupal.)

Drupal Book is Shipping!

Sams Teach Yourself Drupal in 24 Hours is now shipping. There is more material coming to the website in the next few days. Register and/or sign up for the newsletter to keep updated.

Buy the book from your local bookseller or online store. You can order it from Amazon here.

We're in the final stages of getting Sams Teach Yourself Drupal in 24 Hours ready for the printer. This page will be updated with extras, links to the modules discussed in the book, and an aggregation of feeds from those modules with news and updates. Sometime at the beginning of November, we'll flip the switch to make those new features visible. In the meantime, sign up for our newsletter or go to your account page (My Account in the Navigation menu) and make certain that you have not opted out of e-mail messages. We'll send an update as soon as the new site is ready.
