Verizon Sale Completed

Thanks to Beemer for noticing the press release that the sale has been completed. As noted previously, the settlement proposed by Verizon (and accepted by the FCC) described placing the Vermont and northern New York licenses in a trust until they are sold, and that has happened.Presumably the trust will sell the licenses to AT&T.No new documents have been filed with the FCC since approval on August 1.

Hey we are coming up on the end of the 30 day protest period! Hopefully we will get some news next week. Word from friends in Unicel is that many are now Verizon employees and the VT GSM operation is being run by a couple of Unicel employees. Funny thing is, if the system needs a fix, they have to ask Verizon to work on it.

Beemer, any news you give is great news and the info of Unicel employees being Verizon employees now is not a surprise. I try to check this site out atleast every other day. I like to see you all leaving updates because it gives me and everyone else on the updates.
