Global Warming Skeptical App (Skeptical of Skepticism)

John Cook at Skeptical Science has worked on an iPhone app (free) that provides a wealth of double-skepticism (skepticism about the skepticism). It's a great consolidation of the arguments, and a wonderful example of how apps can find a very specific role to play in public discourse.

Submitted by Jesse on Thu, 02/11/2010 - 10:32yA few years ago, people were talking about how home appliances would have built-in IP addresses so that you could turn on your oven over the Internet and check your thermostat from hundreds of miles away.
As is often the case, predictions are often close but not exact. We're seeing addressable appliances, but they're often new ones (Tivo, for example, can be programmed over the Internet as long as it's connected to your WiFi network at home).
Snowball Fight Roundup from WAPO

The names are wonderful--Battle Snowpocalypse (Ellipse 12-3 PM), Snowpocalypse Celebration (Ft. Dupont Park in Southeast 12-2 PM), The Official Dupont Circle Snowball Flight (2 PM), Columbia Heights Snowball Fight (Malcolm X Park 2 - 5 PM), and, in Baltimore, Snowsaycanyousee Part 2: Fells Point! (Fells Point - Broadway between Thames & Lancaster Streets)
